Lilù Journey

Each Lilù garment has a completely sustainable journey:

1. Product Design

Each product’s journey begins with its design through digital media. All of our garments are designed from zero, paying particular attention to all their details, such as the perfect quote to embroider on them. You can find our designs between each product’s photos in the shop!

2. Choice of fabrics

The second step consists of choosing the fabric whose features are the best suited to the garment’s needs.
We use high-quality, sustainable fabrics from Italy: our fabrics are either made from recycled waste (such as Econyl®, a premium 100% regenerated nylon yarn that is created by using pre-and post-industrial waste), organic, or taken from stocks (therefore fabrics that are sold by other companies because they were in excess.)

3. Mock-ups and embroidery

After having presented our designs to the artisans we collaborate with, the latter prepare the mock-ups. We then test the mock-ups and set up a meeting with the embroidery center to show them where we wish for the chosen quote to be placed.

4. Final production with sustainable labels

Finally, after having confirmed that the mock-ups are perfect, we go into production!
Production includes the labels stage: our artisans sew Lilù’s super sustainable labels (made of 100% recycled polyester) on each garment.

5. Unique Packaging

Our packaging is as sustainable and special as our garments themselves!

The pochettes in which we ship our garments are made in Italy by using TNT, the acronym for the Italian Tessuto Non Tessuto, which in English translates to Non-woven.

Non-woven is biodegradable, reusable and waterproof: perfect to hold your wet bikini at the end of a day at the beach!

6. From Hang tags to… Bookmarks!

... But there’s more. With every purchase, you receive a personalized card with a quote matching your garment. Our cards are made out of recycled paper, of course, and are designed to be used as bookmarks!
